Q: What exactly does F2 do?
A: For many reasons including cost, environmental concern, and safety, many companies, cities, and organizations are looking to improve their fleet and transportation operations. How do we cut costs? How can we prioritize spend so it has the biggest impact? How can we reduce our environmental impact? How do we make change without taking on risk?
F2 exists to meet your fleet goals, and also elevate fleets that are interested in implementing the best practices and systems from some of the top fleets in the United States. We’re here to guide you end-to-end in your fleet journey, from visioning to crafting a roadmap, to implementation. Whether you want to be safer, greener, or more efficient, we can help. We know the principles behind fleet management, and will customize plans to your specific needs and opportunities, and guide you all the way to the finish line. Q: How do I know you can help me? Our situation is different. I’m not sure it will work here. Also, it seems complicated.
A: Fleet and transportation operations function and excel based on common principles that will work across the country and around the world regardless of the size, scale, or scope of organizations. Building better systems rooted in these principles always works to maximize control and simplify management of an operation. Q: This sounds very political, ideological, or tech-y. Does this really make practical sense in my city, organization, or company?
A: F2 is not rooted in buzzwords or politics. F2 champions practical approaches to improving systems working in close tandem with the key stakeholders in your organization. F2 was launched to guide fleet clients toward meaningful and measurable outcomes that matter. Being cost-effective and doing more with less concerns everyone. So does being safer and preventing injury or property damage. Being greener, and reducing air and noise pollution and exposure to carcinogens is critical to every community and organization. We offer detailed roadmaps to help clients excel on any and all of those dimensions. Our promise is to bring beneficial and workable practices to you, your organization, and your community wherever you are starting from.
Q: I get a lot of people who make big claims and promise a lot. Especially “consultants.” How are you different?
A: First off, F2 is a small company. Our highest goal is to accelerate fleets and transportation towards their potential by sharing best practices from the nation’s best fleets, both big and small. Your success in achieving that is mission #1. That means real, measurable results. Period.
We bring the background, hands-on experience, and success stories to back it up. Mahanth Joishy worked in government fleet for 24 years, creating excellence in fleet sustainability within settings involving many stakeholders. His many awards for excellence in the field of fleet management speak for themselves. Rahul Kamath spent the last two and a half decades in strategy and data analytics. He has been involved in designing products, services, and processes, and has also led multi-year roadmapping projects for some of the biggest companies in the world. Both have deep experience in understanding what successful projects require and what real results looks like.
Together, F2’s goal is to bring the blueprints of success to clients based on their needs. We provide an ethical, mission-driven operation rooted in a clear understanding of our clients’ needs, opportunities, and constraints– and providing the reassurance to move forward confidently. Our intent is to bring this integrated knowledge and path forward to organizations that recognize the importance of pushing forward– for economic (e.g. efficiency, cost-savings) , environmental (e.g. pollution, air quality, chemical exposure), and ethical (e.g. safety, injury, vehicular harm) reasons.
Q: I don’t have a lot of money to spend. Why is this the way I should spend my limited resources?
A: Getting the right systems in place is about the best investment your organization can make; it reduces costs while simultaneously improving capabilities. Regardless of whether you represent one of the many organizations currently facing budget shortfalls, or just an organization trying to evolve with the times, there is no better time to be safe, green, and efficient. Q: Is F2 a startup? Do you have investors? What are your recommendations based on?
A: F2 is not a “startup” and we do not have investors. We are a small, independent team that exists solely to help organizations adopt best practices in fleet and transportation. Our recommendations are rooted in our own experience in this field, and have nothing to do with any relationships with the tech industry, private equity, auto manufacturers, software companies, or any other such outside organizations. We do not promote any outside products or services unless they make sense for you, and represent the best option for your circumstances. We take pride in the quality of our work, and we are not beholden to anyone except our clients. We are only paid by clients directly, and take extreme efforts to avoid and reject conflicts of interest. F2 works with your specific situation and goals to ensure your success without outside interference or influence. Period.
Q: I’m not sure where to start. Which of your services would be best?
A: First off, there are no right and wrong answers– only your priorities. Transportation is a complex field with a variety of scenarios. That’s why F2 is here.
